Billy Bob Thornton brings his band The Boxmasters to Las Vegas, Colorado, and Utah this month and next, launching their 2026 Morro Rock Tour in support of their new album, In the Bay, released June 12.
The tour kicks off June 13 at The Pool at SAHARA Las Vegas, with a Colorado stop on June 23 at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood and a Utah performance on June 25 at Draper Amphitheater in Draper.
In the Bay marks the band’s 21st studio album and draws inspiration from Morro Bay, California, where Thornton spent time writing the songs. According to the Clay Center, the album showcases a lush sound influenced by the 1960s pop era, with The Sellersville Theater noting the band’s signature blend of ’60s influences continues throughout the record.
The Boxmasters formed in 2007 when Thornton and Grammy Award-winning engineer J.D. Andrew came together to satisfy their shared love of 1960s rock sounds. Since then, the band has recorded a diverse catalogue of music and performed alongside iconic acts including The Who, ZZ Top, and Steve Miller, according to sources tracking the band’s history.
The 2026 Morro Rock Tour extends well beyond the Southwest, running from mid-June through August 8 with stops at legendary venues including The Ryman in Nashville, Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, and Gruene Hall in Texas. The tour represents one of the band’s most extensive touring schedules in recent years, bringing their signature rock sound to audiences across North America.
