Lincoln Center Theater’s acclaimed revival of the ragtime musical has earned 11 Tony Award nominations, marking strong recognition for the production that continues its run through August 2, 2026 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
The nominations, announced May 5, include Best Revival of a Musical, along with nods for direction, choreography, costume design, and acting performances. The production stars Joshua Henry as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Caissie Levy as Mother, and Brandon Uranowitz as Tateh, each recognized in their respective categories at the 79th Tony Awards ceremony on June 7.
Based on E.L. Doctorow’s novel, the musical weaves together real historical figures and fictional narratives to tell the story of three families whose lives intertwine at the turn of the 20th century. The revival, directed by Lear deBessonet, features a book by Terrence McNally and score by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The production originally opened October 16, 2025 and has now extended twice due to strong audience demand, with tickets available for performances through the August closing date.
