FOX One is rolling out a suite of new streaming features ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off June 11 and runs through July 19, 2026, as the platform prepares for what executives are calling a “second launch moment.” All 104 matches will stream live on FOX One with new interactive tools designed to engage both casual and dedicated soccer fans.
Quick Facts
- FOX One’s World Cup coverage will feature all 104 matches in 4K resolution across the platform.
- New features include customizable multiview windows, in-stream statistics, and a “Canvas” dashboard for team standings and schedules.
- Amit Dudakia, SVP & Head of Product for FOX’s direct-to-consumer business, says the World Cup represents the platform’s most important product moment since launching in August 2025.
- Generative AI-powered summaries will provide context about teams, while personalization layers will tailor content recommendations to individual viewers.
The platform’s new Enhanced Multiview feature marks a significant upgrade from its existing multiview function. For the first time, viewers can customize their multiview windows, including isolating individual player camera feeds—a capability designed to let fans follow specific athletes throughout a match.
FOX One is also introducing In-Stream Stats, allowing viewers to configure a customizable L-bar within the livestream that displays match statistics and insights in real time. A separate Key Plays Rewind feature lets fans replay key moments without leaving the live broadcast, then toggle back to live viewing seamlessly.

Canvas, a new dashboard module within the FOX One app, serves as a hub for World Cup coverage with live standings, power rankings, and tournament schedules. According to Amit Dudakia, each viewer’s dashboard is configured based on their stated preferences during onboarding, creating a personalized experience for each user.
The platform is layering artificial intelligence throughout its experience for deeper personalization. Dudakia noted that when executed well, AI functions as an invisible layer—users see tailored content carousels and receive personalized prompts from the “Ask Fox” virtual assistant without necessarily noticing the technology at work.
Additional features rolling out include customizable notifications, the ability to track live activities via iOS, and integration with Yahoo Fantasy’s Daily Draw and Pick Em games. All new features will be available by the first match on June 11, with some rolling out during the lead-up to the tournament.
Dudakia said development on these World Cup-specific features began in January, spanning product, engineering, and marketing departments. He emphasized that the team has experience managing large-scale streaming events, having supported multiple Super Bowls and World Cups on the underlying technology stack.
