No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont announced in April 2026 that he has been diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease, but the diagnosis won’t stop him from performing with the band during their Las Vegas Sphere residency beginning May 6.
Dumont revealed his condition on Instagram on April 12, World Parkinson’s Day, saying he experienced symptoms years ago that prompted visits to his doctor and a neurologist. “A number of years ago I was experiencing a number of symptoms,” he said in the video. “I went to my doctor, I went to a neurologist, did a whole bunch of tests, and I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease.”
Despite the challenges, Dumont emphasized his ability to continue performing. “The good news is I can still play music, I can still play guitar,” he said. “I’ve been doing really well.” He added that he felt inspired to speak publicly about his diagnosis to help erase stigma and raise awareness about the disease.

Dumont, who joined No Doubt in 1988, expressed excitement about the upcoming shows. “I’m really excited about the shows, can’t wait to see everybody,” he said. His bandmates rallied around him: drummer Adrian Young called him “my friend, bandmate, and hero,” while bassist Tony Kanal wrote, “Love you beyond words my friend. Can’t wait to get on stage with you again.”
No Doubt—featuring Gwen Stefani on vocals, Tony Kanal on bass, Adrian Young on drums, and Dumont on guitar—will perform at the Sphere, the massive entertainment venue in Las Vegas, for their first extended concert series in 14 years.
