Andy Cohen confirmed earlier today that he’s found “the person” in boyfriend Kevin Sobieski, opening up about his new relationship on his SiriusXM radio show after the couple went public last week during his 58th birthday celebration in New York City.
During the June 8 episode of his Radio Andy show, the 58-year-old Watch What Happens Live host revealed the deeply personal moment when he realized Sobieski was the one. “I have always said, ‘I will know when I meet the person,’ and I am really happy to say that I met the person you guys,” Cohen said, according to E! News.
The couple met at a Fourth of July party in the Hamptons in July 2025, nearly a year before going public. Cohen recalled the meet-cute fondly: “I almost didn’t go and I dragged myself out. I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore. We talked all night.” He was so serious about exchanging numbers that he checked the digits twice to ensure Sobieski had the right one.
Cohen emphasized that he and Sobieski, a Harvard-educated businessman, have taken their relationship slowly and deliberately. “We’ve been so slow and deliberate and methodical about getting to know each other,” he explained on the radio, according to Us Weekly. Despite nearly a year of dating, Cohen said they haven’t had a single argument. “We just view life the same way,” he noted.
The most significant milestone came when Sobieski met Cohen’s two children, Benjamin, 7, and Lucy, 4. “He loves my children and they love him and I love him,” Cohen gushed. “Introducing him to the kids and just entering him into the equation of my family so slowly, I have to say it has been so easy.” Cohen praised Sobieski as “kind and strong and smart” and expressed his gratitude for how naturally the integration happened.
While Cohen shares much of his personal life on his radio show, he asked fans for patience as he navigated this new chapter. “I do share everything with you guys on the radio, but I just thank you for giving me space here, not that you had a choice, but I just wanted to be smart and slow before saying anything about this,” he said, according to Us Weekly. He added: “I really am happy. I can’t believe I found this guy. I’m in shock.”
