Laura Benanti launches ‘Nobody Cares’ tour across US and UK this summer

Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti is launching her “Nobody Cares” tour across the US and UK this summer, bringing her acclaimed one-woman comedy show to theaters nationwide starting in July.

Quick Facts

  • Tour begins July 14, 2026 in London at Underbelly Soho and runs through October 2026 with additional spring 2027 dates
  • The show won a New York Times Critics Pick designation and had a sold-out run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year
  • Created by Benanti with original songs co-written by Todd Almond and directed by Annie Tippe
  • Covers themes of getting older, people-pleasing, motherhood, marriage, and life’s absurdities

Following an Off-Broadway run and the acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe engagement, Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares will make its UK return this summer before launching a multi-city US tour in the fall. The one-woman comedy blends storytelling with original songs in a show Benanti created herself.

The tour kicks off in London at Underbelly Soho from July 14 to July 26, 2026. Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre hosts the show August 6 to August 9, followed by George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, New Jersey, August 26 to August 30. Baltimore Center Stage runs September 17 to September 26, while Los Angeles’ The Wallis presents the show October 1 to October 4.

Additional venues announced include South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California (October 8-11), The Huntington in Boston (October 22-25), and Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia (April 27-May 2, 2027). The show has been described as “hilarious, heartfelt, and sometimes brutally honest” in its examination of adulthood and its complications.
