Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay revealed on June 7 that they’re expecting a baby girl, sharing the exciting news in an Instagram video that captured the couple’s emotional reaction as they discovered the sex of their first child together.
In the video, Taylor and Tay huddled around a laptop and clicked through to find the update. As “GIRL” appeared on the screen in pink letters, the pair screamed in unison. Tay became emotional, sobbing into her hands before Taylor wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. The couple captioned the moment, “Our little secret is now yours.”
The couple, both 34 and 29 respectively, announced the pregnancy in March 2026 with a playful Instagram post. Taylor (born Taylor Lautner) and Tay (born Taylor Dome) joked about their shared first name, writing “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?” They married in November 2022 after dating for five years.

Tay has praised her husband’s support throughout the pregnancy. “He’s been my saving grace,” she told E! News on June 4. “He has been so helpful, running around, doing all of the things, picking up random food, filling up my water with ice 27 times a day.” She added that she married Taylor because she knew he would be a great father and is excited to watch him in that role.
