Kim Alexis launches ‘Unexpired’ podcast, reflects on being fired from Vogue shoot

Former supermodel Kim Alexis has launched her new podcast “Unexpired,” which debuted May 6, 2026, on major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The show explores how intention transforms change into strength and how wisdom deepens through life’s transitions, featuring long-form conversations with people who continue to live with clarity, conviction, and presence.

In recent interviews, Alexis has reflected on a pivotal moment from her modeling career when photographer Irving Penn fired her from a Vogue shoot. Alexis had decided that morning to skip eating, thinking it would make her thinner for the camera. When she got on set, Penn looked through his camera and told her, “There’s no life in her eyes. Get off set.” She never worked with him again. That experience, Alexis has said, taught her that fasting didn’t work because she needed nutrition and sustenance to have the vitality that showed in her eyes.

The podcast reflects Alexis’s broader mission to encourage people that change can mean strength. She retired from modeling at 27 to pursue broadcasting and has since written books about healthy living and wellness. At 65, she is now a grandmother and continues to advocate for natural aging and self-acceptance. The show will feature conversations with fellow supermodels, including Carol Alt and Kathy Ireland.
