Lynne McGranger becomes grandmother to twin girls

Lynne McGranger has become a grandmother for the first time, welcoming twin granddaughters born to her daughter Clancy and son-in-law Luke. The Home and Away star announced the joyful news on The Morning Show on June 4, revealing that Stevie Grace and Daisy Joy arrived on May 29.

The actress beamed during her television appearance, telling hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies that the family was “over the moon.” Lynne explained that Clancy and Luke had kept the pregnancy private and only gave permission for the announcement that morning.

“Our beautiful daughter Clancy and her husband Luke gave birth to Stevie Grace and Daisy Joy… twin girls!” Lynne said on air. “Luke’s mum and dad Annette and Gary, and us, and everyone who knows… Clancy and Luke kept it out of social [media] for so long.”

The milestone arrives after Lynne spent years hoping for grandchildren. In 2024, while promoting her stage production The Grandparents Club, she told New Idea that she was eager to become a grandmother. “Paul and I wait with bated breath,” she said, adding with humor: “I just want to be a grandparent before I lose my marbles!”

Lynne’s long career on Home and Away, where she played Irene Roberts for over 32 years, ended in 2025. She has since appeared on the reality series Shark! and continues to pursue stage work, bringing real-life grandparent experience to her role in The Grandparents Club.
