Halle Berry and her ex Gabriel Aubry reunited in Los Angeles on Thursday to celebrate their daughter Nahla’s high school graduation, marking a rare public appearance together for the former couple. The 18-year-old graduated as Halle Berry’s oldest child from her relationship with the Canadian model, whom she dated from 2005 to 2010.
Photos from the graduation ceremony showed Berry wearing a black ruffled blouse with wide-legged blue jeans, accessorized with an Art Deco-inspired engagement ring from her fiancé Van Hunt, who also attended the event. Aubry, 49, opted for a slate gray suit paired with a white T-shirt and aviator sunglasses.
Berry has been notably private about her children over the years, but opened up about Nahla’s future in a June 2025 interview with Jenna Bush Hager on the Today show. “She’s 17. She’s going to a college summer program, the college that she’s hoping to go to next year,” Berry said at the time, explaining her approach to her daughter’s transition to adulthood. “I’m not one of these moms that feels like, ‘Oh, she’s leaving.’ Yes, will I worry? Of course. But am I excited for her to start her life and figure out who she’s gonna be? Absolutely.”
