The Traitors Australia is returning to Network 10 in August 2026 with comedian and former Big Brother Australia host Gretel Killeen taking the helm as the show’s new host.

The revived format brings the global hit show to Australian audiences with a fresh cast stacked with reality television personalities. The game pits contestants against each other in a competition centered on deception and elimination, where a select group is secretly chosen as Traitors while the rest begin as Faithfuls.
Killeen, who hosted Big Brother Australia from its debut in 2001 through 2007, will guide the 22 contestants through the game. The cast includes familiar faces from Australian Idol, The Real Housewives of Melbourne and Sydney, Drag Race Down Under, Australian Survivor, The Bachelor, Married At First Sight, Love Island Australia, The Block, MasterChef Australia, Aussie Shore, Big Brother, and Made In Bondi, along with musician Rob Farnham.

According to K7 Media, The Traitors was recently named the top-selling new television format of the decade to date, with adaptations commissioned across 40 territories worldwide and multiple returning series in various countries.
The Australian version is produced for Network 10 by South Pacific Pictures, with the format originally created by IDTV in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit.
