Disney Plus is bringing major content and navigation updates to its platform as summer arrives, with the streaming premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash landing on June 24, 2026, alongside the service’s ongoing app redesign featuring a new ‘For You’ tab.
The ‘For You’ tab, which began rolling out to Disney Plus users starting in January 2026, serves up personalized recommendations based on viewing history. According to Disney Plus, the feature shows users content they’re likely to enjoy, and improves over time as subscribers watch more titles on the platform.
Avatar: Fire and Ash marks the streaming debut of James Cameron’s third installment in the Avatar saga, which arrived in theaters in December 2025. The film will be available exclusively on Disney Plus for subscribers starting June 24.

The app redesign also introduced a new navigation bar at the top of the homepage with tabs for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN based on subscription type, plus a Live hub for sports and live events. Disney Plus stated in its January announcement that additional changes are coming throughout 2026 as part of a broader push toward a unified app experience.
