Lizzo’s new album “Bitch” arrived today with 12 tracks, marking her first full-length project since 2022’s “Special.” The singer announced the album on April 27 and has released it through Nice Life and Atlantic Records.

The album includes Lizzo’s previously released single “Don’t Make Me Love U,” a disco-influenced track, along with the title track “Bitch,” which interpolates Meredith Brooks’ 1997 hit of the same name. Other standout track titles include “That GRRRL,” “Happy 2 Be,” “She Stole My Man,” and “Whose Hair Is This.”
Lizzo explained the album’s title in a statement: “Reclaiming the word Bitch is power—it’s taking a label once used to diminish women and turning it into a declaration of confidence, and unapologetic self-love. It was only fitting to name my album Bitch because it has become my favorite word when using it on my own terms and because I am 100% that bitch!”
The project represents a creative shift for the artist. In early 2025, Lizzo had announced a different album titled “Love in Real Life,” but she scrapped it after singles “Still Bad” and the title track failed to gain traction. She later described the new album as “my pop, rock, rap genre of music. It’s a little moodier, it’s a little darker. It talks about the dark times.”
