Nick Jonas discovered Glen Powell’s plane ticket in the pocket of borrowed pants during a February appearance on The Tonight Show, a discovery he revisited during his Wednesday, June 3 episode when he and host Jimmy Fallon joked about turning the mix-up into a movie.
Jonas explained that a fashion brand had lent him the pants for his earlier appearance, not realizing Glen Powell had worn them previously. “I felt something in my pocket, and I pulled out whatever was in there, and it was a plane ticket that belonged to Glen Powell,” the 33-year-old told Fallon.
The discovery sparked the nickname “Brotherhood of the Traveling Pants” — a nod to the film about jeans passed between friends. Jonas posted about the incident on Instagram in February, and Powell, 37, quickly responded in the comments with a joke about hygiene. “They didn’t wash these for you?!? I feel like the Brotherhood of the Traveling Pants should incorporate some sort of hygiene pact,” Powell quipped.

When the topic came up again on the June 3 episode, Fallon encouraged Jonas to actually make the movie. “That movie with he and I would get made,” Jonas said, with Fallon suggesting he’d like to be the third friend in the project.
The two actors worked together on the 2015 TV series Scream Queens. Jonas’s latest film, Power Ballad, is now in theaters.
