Building Momentum Before the Tournament
The rollout began in March 2026 with “Lighter” by Jelly Roll and Carín León, followed by singles released over the past three months. “Dai Dai,” the central tournament anthem featuring Shakira and Burna Boy, dropped on May 15 and serves as the theme for the FIFA Education Fund. The song’s music video, released May 23, featured cameos from football stars including Lionel Messi.
Fans will experience many album tracks live during Countdown Concerts in Mexico City, Toronto, and Los Angeles, as well as at opening ceremonies across the three host nations. The 2026 FIFA World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19, with matches held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

According to FIFA president Gianni Fantino, “The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album features artists from across continents, languages and genres in a project designed to unite fans worldwide through the power of music and football.” This approach mirrors the 2022 Qatar tournament, which also featured a multi-song official soundtrack rather than a single anthem.
The album will be available across all major streaming platforms. Additionally, Shakira, BTS, and Madonna are set to perform during the halftime show at the final match, scheduled for MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
