Summer Movie Express features two family-friendly films each week, with 11 weeks of programming spanning the entire summer break. Week 1 kicks off June 1–4 with Sing and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, followed by rotating titles including Kung Fu Panda 4, The Wild Robot, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Despicable Me 4. All showtimes begin at 11:00 a.m., making them ideal for families seeking morning entertainment during school breaks.

To sweeten the deal, Regal is offering concession discounts with every Summer Movie Express ticket. Guests receive $3 off either a Snack Pack—which includes a junior-sized drink, popcorn, and fruit gummies—or a cup of Dippin’ Dots ice cream. Advance tickets are available through theatre box offices, the Regal mobile app, and REGmovies.com, with Regal Unlimited members also able to use their monthly subscription for SMX showtimes.

A Summer Tradition Since 1991

Summer Movie Express has been a staple of family summer entertainment for over three decades. According to Brooks LeBoeuf, Senior Vice President of U.S. Content at Regal, “Enjoying time with friends and family at a movie theatre during summer is as much of a warm weather tradition as relaxing together at the swimming pool.” The program continues a long-standing commitment to making theatrical entertainment accessible to families across the United States.

A portion of each $1 ticket sale benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of America, adding a charitable component to the summer movie experience. This approach has helped Regal position the program as both an affordable family outing and a way to support youth organizations nationwide.
