Kate Mansi is leaving General Hospital after three years, the actor confirmed as she wrapped filming in April and prepares to depart the soap later this summer. Her exit reshapes ongoing storylines in Port Charles and comes as Mansi shifts focus to new projects and family commitments abroad.
When she leaves and why it matters
According to the first reports, Mansi’s final scenes are expected to air in June. Her departure matters to fans because she’s been central to major plots — from family drama tied to her father’s shooting to a high-profile romantic storyline — and her exit will force writers to rework several threads heading into the summer.

In a statement to media, Mansi said she decided to move on in order to pursue other work that requires her full attention and to accommodate travel while her husband, producer Matt McInnis, is working on a series mostly filmed overseas. She also thanked the show’s creative team for how they handled her character.
What she contributed on-screen
Since joining in 2023, Mansi played Kristina, the complicated daughter of mob boss Sonny Corinthos and attorney Alexis Davis. During her run she appeared in more than 200 episodes, exploring family conflict, a controversial romance and several emotionally charged returns to Port Charles.
She didn’t only act on the show: Mansi directed two episodes, including one that dealt with an endometriosis diagnosis — a storyline informed by her own history with the condition. Her work on the series also earned a nomination for a Daytime Emmy in 2025 for outstanding supporting actress.

Where Mansi goes from here
She has signaled new creative priorities and teased additional announcements scheduled for mid-June. For viewers, the immediate consequence is a narrative gap to be filled — for Mansi, it is an opportunity to take on projects that allow more flexibility and international travel while her husband works overseas.
Before her General Hospital tenure, Mansi was best known for a multi-year run on Days of Our Lives as Abigail Deveraux, a part that earned her a Daytime Emmy in 2017. She returned there briefly in a recurring capacity later in the decade and left again in 2020.
As General Hospital moves forward, producers and writers will need to decide whether Kristina’s storyline ends permanently or if the character may return — a not-uncommon outcome in daytime television, where exits often leave room for future comebacks.
