Early Christmas treat: Hilary Duff’s Holiday Things EP streams now

Hilary Duff has quietly pushed a festive turn onto her calendar: on Oct. 23 she released a five-track Christmas EP titled Holiday Things, arriving just weeks after her full-length album earlier this year. The timing and material reconnect the actress-singer with her early holiday work while teeing up a busy live schedule through next year.

The EP mixes new songs with seasonal reinterpretations. Alongside a fresh take on the classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” Duff revisits her cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas,” a version first released on her 2002 holiday record.

Three newly written songs expand the set: intimate, pop-leaning cuts that aim to balance festive cheer with grown-up reflection. Duff used Instagram to announce the release, saying the holiday collection was arriving earlier than expected and sharing a party-shot promo that shows her in a frilly dress seated amid pastel balloons and champagne.

What’s on the EP

  • Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas — a traditional holiday standard
  • Last Christmas — an updated version of the track she first recorded for Santa Claus Lane (2002)
  • I Guess It’s Christmas — original
  • All You Want for Christmas Is Me — original
  • I Want (A Few Small Things) — original

On Oct. 15 Duff marked the 24th anniversary of Santa Claus Lane, posting throwback promo pictures from her teen years alongside current family photos with husband and producer Matthew Koma and their children. The posts frame the new EP as both a nod to her past and a continuation of her evolving pop catalog.

Tour plans and live dates

Duff is already on the move: she began a string of sold-out shows in Australia on Oct. 24 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, and she’s slated to appear at several iHeartRadio Jingle Ball events in December in Los Angeles, New York, Boston and Nashville. She also announced a comprehensive 2027 tour covering North America, Europe and South America that will run into late next year.

  • Oct. 24 — Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney (sold out)
  • December — iHeartRadio Jingle Ball stops: Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Nashville
  • 2027 — North America, Europe, South America tour through November

Why this matters now: holiday releases can lift an artist’s streaming numbers and reintroduce catalog songs to new audiences, and Duff’s timing—dropping festive material in late October—positions her to benefit from early-season playlisting and holiday programming. For fans, the EP offers both nostalgia and new material as Duff prepares for an extended run of live dates.

Listen to Holiday Things on major streaming platforms; the EP is available now, and Duff’s tour tickets and Jingle Ball appearances underscore that she’s making the holiday season a central part of her 2026–2027 run.
