Courtz’s single KOKO rose to No. 1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart this week and reached a milestone with its 17th consecutive week inside the top 10 of Hot Latin Songs. The movement, recorded in the Sept. 18–24 tracking period, marks a clear uptick in radio exposure for the song and renews focus on Courtz’s recent album release.
Data from Luminate show the track earned about 6.6 million audience impressions for the week — an increase of roughly 18% from the previous frame. That surge was enough to unseat Jay Wheeler’s “De Lejitos,” which slipped to No. 3 after posting 5.4 million impressions, a decline near 6%.
What the numbers say
Beyond the headline, the figures point to a widening radio footprint for Courtz as stations add or amplify airplay. Sustained radio traction often feeds into streaming and visibility across playlists and editorial coverage, which can extend an artist’s reach beyond core listeners.
- Tracking week: Sept. 18–24
- KOKO audience impressions: ~6.6 million (+18%)
- Previous leader (“De Lejitos”) impressions: ~5.4 million (-6%)
- Hot Latin Songs top-10 tenure for KOKO: 17 weeks
KOKO appears on Courtz’s album POR SI MAÑANA NO ESTOY, which arrived in February and opened at No. 3 on both the Top Latin Albums and Top Latin Rhythm Albums charts in March. The album was preceded by the single “Si Estás Con Alguien,” which reached the top 10 on Latin Rhythm Airplay earlier in the year, peaking at No. 9 in May.
For the broader market, the switch at the summit reflects how quickly radio rotations can reshape weekly chart dynamics. Artists who convert radio attention into streaming gains and social engagement often see the most durable results across chart platforms.
Industry watchers will be looking to see whether Courtz can maintain this momentum in the coming weeks and whether the album’s tracks continue to chart alongside renewed airplay. Luminate’s weekly tracking will provide the next snapshot of how listeners and programmers are responding.
