Charlie Puth has unexpectedly pulled his planned November arena shows in New Zealand and Australia, leaving ticket holders waiting for answers. Organizers say refunds will be processed automatically, but neither Puth nor his promoters have offered a public explanation.
The six-date run was scheduled to open at Auckland’s Spark Arena before moving to major Australian cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Ticketing platforms now list the concerts as canceled and have removed tickets from sale.
According to emails sent to buyers, all purchases will be returned to the original payment method. Fans have been told they do not need to take any action to receive their refunds.
At the time of the cancellation notice, there was no word on whether the shows will be rebooked. Promoters and Puth’s representatives have not provided further details.

The album, co-produced with BloodPop, leans on jazz, soft-rock and yacht-rock influences and features contributions from artists including Kenny G, Kenny Loggins and Jeff Goldblum. Puth’s recording career began with 2016’s Nine Track Mind, which spawned hits such as “Marvin Gaye,” “One Call Away” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”
Practical implications are immediate for those who booked travel and accommodation around the shows. Experts recommend checking airline and hotel cancellation policies and contacting providers directly to request refunds or credits.
For venues and the local live-music ecosystem, a last-minute cancellation can have financial and logistical consequences, from staff scheduling to vendor contracts. It remains unclear whether insurance or promoter contingencies will cover those losses in this instance.
