JANE ALEXANDER | The Butcher Boys | Performers posing as Jane Alexander's Butcher Boys moved along the roof of the Lookout Centre in Khayelitsha, South Africa. The original Butcher Boys consists of three otherworldly humanoid-like creatures sitting on a bench, devoid of their senses. The controversial work has arguably become one of South Africa's most recognized anti-apartheid artworks.
STEFAN CHRISTOFF | Lebanon: Open Skies of Struggle | One of a series of photos by Montreal journalist Stefan Christoff depicting realities of life in Lebanon. The photographs convey the human realities of a nation facing major political upheaval in recent years, marked by massive street demonstrations, international political intervention & a devastating Israeli military attack in 2006. The series will be on display at Montreal's Sablo Cafe (50 St. Zotique E) until the end of May; the opening will take place this Friday at 7PM.

The image on the left by Cuban artist Yoana Yellin is from the 2005 series entitled "Dreams of Peace"; the poster on the right by American designer Marc Oxborrow illustrates last year's theme, "Love Conquers All".
