Historic Campaign Generates $26.3 Million for Pediatric Cancer Research
Since FOX 8 began the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Northeast Ohio, it has raised $26.3 million total. This year’s $2.8 million represents a significant contribution to childhood cancer research. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital treats children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases regardless of ability to pay.
The campaign continues to grow stronger each year with increased community participation. The record 28,000 tickets this year surpassed the previous 26,000-ticket inventory. St. Jude’s mission relies on donations to fund groundbreaking research and treatment programs across multiple pediatric conditions.
When Will the 2026 St. Jude Dream Home Winner Be Chosen?
The St. Jude Dream Home drawing takes place on October 1, 2026. Winners are announced by name, not ticket number, during a televised event. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win or have their ticket receipt available. St. Jude will contact winners on the drawing day by phone and certified notification.
Open house weekends begin in September 2026, allowing the public to tour the finished home. Visitors don’t need a ticket to explore the property. Winners have seven days to accept their prize after receiving official notification. This charitable raffle combines community engagement with life-saving medical research support.
