Ernie Hudson, best known for his role as no-nonsense spirit wrangler Winston Zeddemore in the Ghostbusters franchise, will make four stops across the San Antonio area starting tomorrow. The veteran actor became a national ambassador for Puppy Food Bank earlier this year. Hudson has more than 100 film and television credits, and currently stars in CBS’s Boston Blue series.
The Ghostbusters legend just wrapped Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in 2024 alongside original cast members. This weekend represents his most visible public appearance since taking on the ambassador role for animal rescue organizations nationwide.

Four Adoption Events Across San Antonio Area
Saturday, March 21 kicks off at Rudy’s Bar-B-Q in Leon Springs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 24152 Interstate 10 West. Hudson then heads to Pet Supplies Plus on Bulverde Road from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The following day brings two more stops in the same format. On Sunday, March 22, fans can catch him at Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q in Westover Hills from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by Pet Supplies Plus in New Braunfels from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Each location will feature adoptable puppies and rescue dogs waiting for loving homes. Donations to Puppy Food Bank are encouraged but not required for autographs or selfies.
