The 29-year-old actor pulled no punches describing his intense preparation process. Jaafar rehearsed for hours and hours upon hours perfecting every single movement, studying Michael’s iconic choreography from Thriller and Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.
“There’s so many times I would wake up sore and be like, ‘Should I go rehearse? Should I take a break?” Jaafar recalls. “Then the other part of me would be like, ‘No, what would Michael do?'” He admits that at times he danced until his feet would bleed or go numb, showcasing his total commitment to the film.
