Plans for the 2nd International PureData Convention are underway and organizers are calling for proposals for conference papers, roundtable discussions, performances, installations and exhibitions. The conference will be held in Montreal Aug. 21-26, 2007.
More and more artists are discovering the creative potential of Puredata, an opensource digital information management tool used in visual art, music, interactive art, new media, robotics, sound art, dance, theatre and VJ culture. Open Work will explore the aesthetics and politics of free Open Source software culture by focusing on the development, artistic uses and critical writing about PureData.
Important deadlines: Feb 28/07 proposals for art and workshops; March 31/07 conference papers.
